SARGA.CO – When other horses began losing steam at the end of the season, Flamboyan only grew hotter. The seasoned jragem stallion owned by Nona Cindy Stable once again proved his class with a brilliant victory in Race XV, Class C – 1,600 meters at Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) Piala Raja Hamengku Buwono X 2025, held at the Sultan Agung Racecourse, Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, 9 November 2025.
This win felt even more special as it marked a back-to-back victory for Flamboyan. Two weeks earlier, the mature 154 cm stallion—formerly named Krispatih—also triumphed in the same class at the IHR Kejurnas PORDASI Series II 2025. A truly sweet season finale.
Race XV, which contested the Pertamina Cup with a total prize of Rp50 million, featured seven horses from five regions: Lucynero, MS Queen, Samurai, P. Sapu Jagat, Beauty Habibah, and P. Putra Barbara.
As soon as the race began, P. Sapu Jagat took the lead, followed by Lucynero, with Flamboyan comfortably in third. But P. Sapu Jagat’s dominance didn’t last long. At the 800-meter mark before the finish, Lucynero began applying pressure and successfully seized the lead.
Meanwhile, Flamboyan continued to hold himself back. But when the tension reached its peak, the experienced veteran finally stepped on the gas.
After passing P. Sapu Jagat, who had begun to weaken, Flamboyan entered his favorite phase: the late bomb finish. Entering the final turn, Lucynero was still in front, but danger was already creeping up behind him. Jockey Angel Manarisip made a crucial decision—guiding Flamboyan to the outside lane, giving him a clean path to unleash full speed.
That decision changed everything.
With the final straight in sight, Flamboyan “exploded.” The son of sire Belantara and dam Princes Northiar accelerated sharply, his strides growing longer and more decisive.
In a matter of seconds, Flamboyan overtook Lucynero, passed him, and left him far behind. Angel delivered the final whip that sealed the magnificent victory. Spectators erupted in cheers as Flamboyan crossed the finish line as the champion.

1st Place: Flamboyan – East Java (Nona Cindy Stable)
2nd Place: Lucynero – Central Java (Speed Up Stable)
3rd Place: P. Putra Barbara – South Kalimantan (BHM Stable)
This victory is not only an achievement but also proof that Flamboyan, despite no longer being a young horse, still possesses unmatched strength, technique, and experience.
