

SARGA.CO – The countdown begins for the Indonesia Horse Racing (IHR)-Merdeka Cup 2025 at the Legokjawa Horse Racing Track, Pangandaran, West Java. Ahead of the race on Sunday, August 24, 2025, the organizing committee has officially announced the drawing results for the horses competing in this prestigious championship.
The official drawing features 86 horses from 7 provinces, set to compete in 16 classes with a total prize pool worth hundreds of millions of rupiah.
The horses will represent West Java, East Java, Jakarta, Central Java, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and North Sulawesi.
One of the main highlights of the Merdeka Cup 2025 is the 3-Year-Old Prospective Derby – 1,400 meters, offering a grand prize of IDR 60 million. This class will showcase the best young horses born in 2022, who officially turned 3 years old on August 1, 2025.
Stable owners, trainers, and horse racing fans will be closely watching this race, as it serves as an early indicator of the young horses’ potential—those who may dominate the national scene next year, including as strong candidates for the Triple Crown and the Indonesia Derby 2026.
Other notable categories include the 3-Year-Old Prospective Juvenile (1,200m – IDR 40 million), 3-Year-Old Debut C/D (1,000m), and 3-Year-Old KPI & THB INA—specifically designed for development and local breeds.
3-Year-Old Prospective Derby – 1,400m (IDR 60 million prize)

Open Sprint Class – 1,300m (IDR 60 million prize)
Another main attraction is the Open Sprint Class – 1,300m. Six horses will compete, three from Jakarta: Romeo Berjaya (Gate 2), Lea Chintya (Gate 4), and Alward (Gate 1). They will face three West Java horses: Blaze Kobar (Gate 5), Queen Zedna (Gate 6), and War Kudate (Gate 3).
3-Year-Old Prospective Juvenile – 1,200m (IDR 40 million prize)
Seven strong horses from five provinces will clash here. Big names include Fiona of Khalim (Gate 3) and Inna Fatahna T.A (Gate 4). Other participants: Red Minister (Gate 1), Bless Arion (Gate 6), Titian Monaco (Gate 7), Trudy (Gate 5), and Diva Istana (Gate 2).

THB INA Class – 1,600m (IDR 30 million prize)
This development and local breed category features 4 horses: She’s Coming (West Java, Gate 2), Lord Montjeu T.A (Central Java, Gate 1), Star Montjeu T.A (Central Java, Gate 3), and Vaux Theater (Jakarta, Gate 4).
3-Year-Old Debut C/D – 1,000m (IDR 20 million prize)
Four horses will line up: Rastaban (West Java, Gate 2), Bless Wani (West Java, Gate 4), John Tappor (East Java, Gate 1), and Kembang Tanjung (Jakarta, Gate 3).
3-Year-Old KPI – 1,200m (IDR 30 million prize)
Five participants: Rajadewi (Gate 3), Elgawira (Gate 4), Surya Danastry (Gate 2), Burrito Libre d.h Cempaka (East Java, Gate 5), and Menteng Minister (Gate 1).
In addition to the main classes, several classes will also be competed in the IHR - Merdeka Cup 2025, offering attractive prizes and tight competition.

The IHR-Merdeka Cup 2025 will also host 7 sprint classes (1,000m) with prizes ranging from IDR 10 million – 25 million.
The race with the biggest total prize of Rp 25 million will take place in the Class D Sprint 1,000 M, which will be contested by four horses: Gold Princess (gate 4), Elkano Bless (gate 3), Ravelio (gate 2), and King NH (gate 1).
Class F – 1,000 M (Rp15 million): A fierce duel is expected in this class with nine horses competing. The lineup includes Danasura (gate 3), Hercules (gate 5), Aare (gate 8), Indah Kirana (gate 6), Kasmaran (gate 7), Tini Thunder a.k.a. Sunzone (gate 2), Putri Messangge (gate 4), Mayangsari (gate 9), and Berlin (gate 1).
Class J – 1,000 M (Rp10 million): Horses from Jakarta will try to overcome four rivals from West Java. The five participants in this class are Mc Queen (gate 4), King DZ (gate 5), Raden Askara (gate 2), Amoy (gate 3), and the sole representative from Jakarta, Ajeng Saketi (gate 1).
Class I – 1,000 M (Rp10 million): Names such as Putra Dana (gate 5), Alhambra (gate 4), Black Marmer (gate 3), Putri Jayanti (gate 1), and Aura Ajhar (gate 2) will compete for the championship title.
Class H – 1,000 M (Rp10 million): Six horses will battle it out in this class: Cusundawu (gate 4), Arbay Star (gate 2), Andin (gate 2), Ayya Sappina (gate 5), Desmosedeci GP (gate 3), and Peco Pagnaya (gate 6).
Class G – 1,000 M (Rp10 million): In the closing race, seven horses will compete for a total prize of Rp10 million. The lineup includes Prince Loupan (gate 2), Dicaprio (gate 7), Putri Gaci (gate 6), Juna Sayembara (gate 4), D Bos (gate 3), Hysteria (gate 1), and Naga Maja (gate 5).
