Hailing from San Marino Stable, Padang Panjang, this formidable mare has secured her place in the final round of the prestigious Indonesia Horse Racing (IHR) – Indonesia Derby 2025, set to take place at Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, on July 27, 2025.
Romantic Spartan clinched her final ticket after finishing third in the Three-Year-Old Derby class (2,000 meters) during the Pordasi National Championship Series I-2025, held on July 13, 2025, in Bantul, Yogyakarta. This achievement made her the sole representative from Padang Panjang in this year’s most prestigious class.
2. Consistency on the Track
Beyond her strong performance in the Indonesia Derby, Romantic Spartan has secured several titles across major horse racing events:
1st Place in Beginner Class AB – Mayor of Bukittinggi Cup (July 2024)
1st Place in Sawahlunto Derby (December 2024)
1st Place in Mayor of Payakumbuh Cup Derby (February 2025)
1st Place in Bukittinggi Agam Tourism Derby (May 2025)
This record underscores her status as one of the most consistent racehorses of the season.
Romantic Spartan is owned by Muhammad Ikhsan of San Marino Stable, Padang Panjang. She is trained by veteran trainer Tuan Amris, ridden by jockey Rudy Junior, and supported by groomer Ferdiansyah and crew member Doni Agusta—ensuring her top form at every race.
4. West Sumatra’s Great Hope
