SARGA.CO – In the world of horse racing, speed isn’t the only spectacle. Sometimes, the real drama unfolds at the starting gate. One of the most notorious stars of that drama is Naura Ayu, a spirited filly from Amigo Stable—known not only for her strength on the track, but also… for her antics.
This revelation comes straight from Karsono, affectionately known as Pak Kebo, a seasoned gatekeeper who’s spent decades handling race starts across Indonesia.
Of all the horses he's worked with, he says, Naura Ayu is among the most challenging to get into the starting box.
“She's a handful—always tough to load. In nearly every race, the other horses end up waiting for Naura Ayu to get in,” recalled Pak Kebo with a chuckle.
But don’t let her antics fool you. Naura Ayu is no pampered diva—she’s a legitimate threat to King Argentine, the frontrunner for the 2025 Triple Crown.
In the first two legs of the series, Naura Ayu gave him a serious run for his money, keeping spectators on edge from start to finish. Standing at 156 cm with raw, explosive power, she thrives in long-distance races—and now, she’s heading into the ultimate showdown: the Indonesia Derby 2025, set for July 27.
For King Argentine, this isn’t just a race—it’s a shot at history. And Naura Ayu might just be the wildcard capable of spoiling the dream.
She may hold up the start, but once those gates fly open, this “naughty” filly transforms into a lightning bolt, ready to shake up the entire field.
Will Naura Ayu deliver the upset of the year at the Indonesia Derby?
Or will her high-strung nature once again steal the spotlight at the starting gate?
One thing’s for sure—this mysterious, fiery filly is a story still unfolding. Stay tuned.
