SARGA.CO – The atmosphere at Sultan Agung Stadium (SSA) in Bantul was electric during Race XIV of the 3-Year-Old Junior Prospect Class – 1,400 meters, part of the Indonesia’s Horse Racing Cup (IHR Cup) 2025 series.
This prestigious race, held for the Arsari Tambang Trophy, delivered an intense showdown right to the finish line. But the biggest surprise came from an underdog: P. Hajar, representing BHM Stable of South Kalimantan.
Despite being largely overlooked before the race, P. Hajar, a 3-year-old stallion, silenced the favorites with a blistering performance. He surged past his rivals to claim first place.
Standing at 155 cm tall and sired by Mahameru BHM x Bintuang Putri, P. Hajar proved that heart and hard work can defy expectations.
said Ardhi W., trainer at BHM Stable. “But he immediately showed his quality by winning the Junior Class and beating favorites like Caraxes Nagari.”
Caraxes Nagari, from Djon’s Stable (North Sulawesi), finished second, while Nacho Star of Nikita Stable (West Sumatra) took third place.
The victory was even sweeter as P. Hajar secured the top prize from a total purse of IDR 30 million. For BHM Stable, this triumph marks a major milestone in their pursuit of national racing prestige.
With this unexpected performance, P. Hajar is now firmly on the radar as a promising young contender to watch in future races.
