SARGA.CO – The celebration of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day will become even more festive with the return of the Aragon Merdeka Master 2025, a prestigious annual equestrian championship set to take place on August 6–10, 2025, at The Hub Indonesia venue in Jatisampurna, Bekasi, West Java. This event is more than just a sports competition—it has grown into one of the most anticipated equestrian showcases in the country.
With the potential to break records with over 1,000 participants, Aragon Merdeka Master 2025 is projected to be the largest edition in its history, surpassing last year’s impressive turnout.
Two elite disciplines will be contested—Dressage and Show Jumping—with enticing prizes up for grabs. In addition to the prestigious President Cup trophies for the Dressage Elementary and Jumping 115–120 cm classes, participants in the Jumping 100 cm class will also compete for a car, a motorcycle, and three electric bicycles.
“Aragon Merdeka Master will run for five full days,” said Jupri Mardi, Show Director of Aragon Merdeka Master 2025. “It kicks off with Dressage on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a Jumping warm-up on Friday, then the main Jumping competitions on Saturday and Sunday. This year, we’re once again presenting the President Cup for both main disciplines.”
Uniquely, some matches will also be held at night, adding a dramatic flair to the competition. To accommodate this, organizers have installed additional lighting along the main track.
“Night competitions not only add a new level of challenge but also help accommodate the high number of participants. We tested this format last year, and we’ve improved it for this edition,” Jupri added.
Dressage classes will range from Walk Trot to Prix St. Georges (PSG), divided into age groups and open categories. For Show Jumping, fence heights will range from 30 cm to 130 cm, also grouped into various categories.
As of July 20, 2025, a total of 247 horses have been registered, with 106 more on the waiting list—and that’s not including horses from the host club, The Hub Indonesia. Participants are coming from across the country, with stables from Jakarta and West Java dominating the list, followed by entries from Central Java and Yogyakarta.
With its growing scale, fierce competition, and dazzling rewards, the Aragon Merdeka Master 2025 is more than a national equestrian tournament—it’s a sophisticated, spirited celebration of freedom.
