

SARGA.CO – After missing the Triple Crown Series II in May 2025, Sidney All Star made a powerful comeback by winning the 3-Year-Old Derby Prospect Class at the 2025 Indonesia’s Horse Racing Cup held at Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul.
Competing in the 1,850-meter track, Sidney All Star outran ten competitors, including race favorite Kamaka Eclipse, in a dominant performance.
Sidney All Star, a chestnut filly standing 159.7 cm tall, is sired by Moshe and Artedi Nagari. She had previously secured third place in the Triple Crown Series I & Pertiwi Cup 2025 at the same venue on April 20, 2025.
Trainer Wahono AT credited the victory to Sidney All Star’s top physical form on race day.
“This win is part of our preparation for her appearance in the upcoming Derby in July,” he told SARGA News.
A surprise twist also unfolded in this race, which offered a Rp70 million prize pool under the Arsari Tambang Cup.
Formerly known as Duke Tonsea, the horse Padagi NSL made a late charge near the finish line, nearly stealing the win but settling for second.
Race XVI – 3-Year-Old Derby Prospect Class – 1,850 Meters:

The second-to-last race featured an electrifying comeback by Naga Sembilan, who surged ahead near the final turn.
Owner Raihanah Bagus noted that the horse’s racing style involves closing from the rear with a powerful burst in the final stretch.
Race XVII – Open Class – 2,000 Meters – Winners:
Raihanah confirmed that Naga Sembilan will race again in the Indonesia Derby Series I at SSA Bantul in July.
“He was runner-up in last year’s Derby. He’ll return for another shot next month,” Raihanah said.
The final race of the day featured nine young horses from across Java and Bali, competing for the Le Minerale Cup and a Rp10 million prize pool.
