131 Horses Ready for Battle: Behind the Scenes of the Indonesia’s Horse Racing Cup 2025

SARGA.CO – Sultan Agung Stadium (SSA), Bantul, is already buzzing with activity. As the Indonesia’s Horse Racing Cup (IHR Cup) 2025 approaches on June 15, 2025, the energy and preparation are intensifying daily.

Together, SARGA.CO and PP PORDASI are fine-tuning every detail— from preparing the racetrack to providing support for the horses, jockeys, trainers, and groomers.

131 Horses, 13 Provinces, One Mission

A total of 131 racehorses from 13 provinces have arrived in Yogyakarta in waves. From Aceh to NTB, each horse is accompanied by its dedicated trainer and groomer.

Housed in temporary, sterilized stables, each horse receives meticulous care: tailored feeding programs, muscle-maintaining massages, and light exercise to adapt to the SSA track. Groomers—usually working behind the scenes—now stand at the forefront, ensuring every horse is not only healthy but mentally ready for competition.

“We’re giving special appreciation to our groomers and trainers this year. Without them, optimizing the horses’ performance on race day would be impossible,”

added Aseanto.

The SSA track itself is under constant scrutiny. Technical teams from SARGA.CO and PP PORDASI regularly inspect the soil quality, safety rails, and start-finish zones. All measures ensure top-tier safety and race readiness as the IHR Cup serves as a warm-up to the Indonesia Derby—part of the prestigious Triple Crown series.

“We’re making sure SSA is in peak condition for IHR Cup 2025 and the national championships next month,”

Behind the scenes, the ticketing team is organizing distribution for Regular A (IDR 75k), Regular B (IDR 25k), and Festival (free admission) tickets, all available on-site on race day. Meanwhile, SARGA.CO is finalizing fun games and horse-racing educational programs, transforming the event into more than just a race—it’s a cultural and learning experience in equestrian tradition
